A Green New Deal. Pleased with $1.1 billion to create 11,000 jobs “restoring the natural world”. Hopes this reset of economic thinking will flow through to the allocation of the $3 billion infrastructure fund, and the projects chosen are low-carbon.Sustainable Business Council: Likes the 11,000 new conservation jobs. Still lobbying to get the $3 billion infrastructure spending to focus on projects that will cut the country’s greenhouse gas emissions. Wants a partnership between Government and private enterprise.
