Big businesses might flee NZ, warn heavy emitters

New Zealand’s heavy emitters say that sharing some of their free carbon credits with smaller emitters could see companies leave the country.
Greenhouse Policy Coalition executive director Catherine Beard told Carbon News that the amount of credits being set aside for allocation to trade-exposed heavy emitters was already inadequate, and spreading them more thinly would affect the viability of some companies.
