EDS pours cold water on RMA 'bonfire'

NATIONAL'S planned “bonfire” of regulations will be pyrotechnics if the Resource Management Act is thrown on the flames, the Environmental Defence Society says.
The party announced on Monday that in government it would replace the RMA with transitional legislation while it drafted something more permanent, saying the planning law was responsible for the country’s housing crisis.
