Campaigners hail fossil-fuels investments move

THE GOVERNMENT'S decision to ban default superannuation funds investing in fossil fuels is being welcomed by campaigners and criticised by the oil industry.
Finance minister Grant Robertson and commerce minister Chris Faafoi announced the decision yesterday, saying it will help the country transition to a low-carbon economy and protect investors against stranded assets.
