INVESTMENT in emissions-cutting new technology like hydrogen could be jeopardised by uncertainty over the Emissions Trading Scheme, fertiliser manufacturer Ballance Agri-Nutrients says.
The operator of the Kapuni synthetic fertiliser works in Taranaki is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the Government’s allocation of free credits to trade-exposed industrial emitters, receiving 325,594 NZUs in 2018.
