ETS proposals bring record carbon prices

NEW ZEALAND carbon prices have shot to record levels on the back of proposed changes to the Emissions Trading Scheme.
Climate minister James Shaw released a consultation paper just before Christmas that included plans to lift the effective cap on carbon prices to $35 this year - $10 above the current level.
