National wants in on the ETS act

IF THE GOVERNMENT wants cross-party consensus on climate legislation it should put up legislation the Opposition can support, National’s climate spokesperson says.
“It’s not my job as the National Party climate change spokesman, or Simon Bridges’ job as leader of the Opposition, to somehow panel-beat my colleagues in the National Party or the National Party caucus, or Parliament itself, into a shape that will accept this bill,” Scott Simpson said at the Climate Change and Business Conference in Auckland yesterday.
