Officials examine future of dodgy Russian credits

OFFICIALS are calculating the number of dodgy carbon credits New Zealand used in meeting its emissions reduction target, raising the prospect that the country might yet make good on its actions.
So-called hot-air credits from Russia and the Ukraine were brought into New Zealand in the first part of the decade and used by some companies to meet their emissions liabilities under the Emissions Trading Scheme.
