Touring by car ups emissions, says report

DOMESTIC and international tourists driving cars are pushing up New Zealand’s greenhouse gas emissions, counteracting a small drop in emissions from industry.
Data just released by Statistics New Zealand show that while industrial emissions have decreased slightly over a decade, emissions from households and from the tourism sector are rising.
