Penny Wong .. may exclude forestry and agriculture and complicate the transtasman ETS link
Agriculture and forestry may be dumped in the too-hard basket by new Labor Government Climate Change Minister Penny Wong, who yesterday announced a timetable for Australia to launch an emissions trading scheme (ETS).
In setting 2010 for an ETS start-up, Wong suggested the Australian agriculture and forestry industries may be offered the chance to opt out.
