THE GOVERNMENT will have to explain why it ignores any recommendations on the Emissions Trading Scheme from the proposed Climate Change Commission, officials say.
Changes to the ETS are expected to go to Cabinet in July. There will be a six-week consultation period and the Government's decisions on the ETS will be announced in September.
