Let ETS do its job, says English's economist

NEW ZEALAND should stay clear of direct intervention to bring down emissions from the electricity sector and instead let the Emissions Trading Scheme do its job.
That’s the view of economist Matt Burgess, who once advised finance minister Bill English on economic policy and is now a research fellow at the New Zealand Institute think-tank.
