Treasury likes bonds to reward tree-planting

ENVIRONMENTAL impact bonds encouraging the planting of native forests could help to cut New Zealand’s greenhouse gas emissions, Treasury says.
The economic agency thinks that achieving the Government’s vision of carbon neutrality by 2050 could require up to 10 per cent of the country to be covered in forest.
