BUSINESS NEW ZEALAND doesn’t support any of the Government’s proposed 2050 emissions reduction targets, saying they are based on wishful thinking and magic.
The Government has promised to make the country carbon-neutral by 2050, and earlier this year issued a discussion document outlining three definitions of what that means – carbon dioxide only, long-lived gases (carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide only), or all greenhouse gases, including methane.
