Public wants help with ETS costs, survey shows

Overwhelming public support for help for households in coping with the costs of an emissions trading scheme could provide the impetus to get the scheme passed before the election.
A new Shape NZ survey shows that 81 per cent of New Zealanders want transitional assistance for those affected by higher fuel and electricity costs as a result of the ETS.
