Calls for Government to act as carbon tops $25

New Zealand carbon is trading over the unofficial cap price of $25, prompting new calls for the Government to hedge the country’s looming carbon debt.
Yesterday, 180,000 spot NZUs changed hands on the CommTrade platform at between $24.85 and $25.05 – the highest price they have reached in the 10-year history of the Emissions Trading Scheme.
