Government hears Paris pact means methane cuts

The Paris Agreement cannot be met without cutting methane emissions, the Government has been told.
The prospect of excluding short-lived gases like methane from New Zealand’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2050 is included in the discussion document on the Zero Carbon Bill, winning the support of groups like Federated Farmers.
