RESEARCH into farming seaweed as a way of storing carbon has earned a New Zealand scientist international recognition.
Ninety-three per cent of the world’s carbon dioxide is stored in the oceans, and Niwa principal scientist Dr Wendy Nelson is part of a team looking at how seaweed-farming can be used to help to protect the world from global warming.
