Industrial emissions can be cut - but it's not easy

SOARING EMISSIONS from the industrial sector can be cut through improved efficiency and using lower-emissions fuels, but there’s no easy fix, the Productivity Commission says.
Industrial processes are responsible for 15 per cent of New Zealand’s total greenhouse gases, and are the fastest-growing source of emissions – up 47 .3 per cent between 1990 and 2015.
