Carbon starts to climb again

Carbon resumed its climb today, rising on the back of a very firm oil market and a slump in coal prices, broker OM Financial reports.
Oil rallied $5 per barrel and coal slumped 5%. Carbon prices generally rise on the back of cheaper coal, as power generators are encouraged to switch to running (dirtier) coal over (cleaner) gas, thereby increasing demand for carbon credits (pollution permits).
