Questions over SOE-funding of ETS reports

Three State-owned enterprises are in the political spotlight for funding reports being used on either side of the lobby campaign on the Government’s emissions trading scheme.
On Thursday, Opposition climate change spokesman Nick Smith asked in Parliament whether the Government had been involved in the decision by State-owned Meridian Energy and Might River Power to help pay for a report released last week by the New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development.
