A PARTY which has vowed to get rid of the Emissions Trading Scheme now holds the balance of power in New Zealand’s Parliament.
Provisional results from Saturday’s general election give no party or traditional bloc a clear majority, with the climate action-oriented Labour and Greens parties sitting on 41.7 per cent and the climate conservatives, National and Act, taking 46.5 per cent.
