THE MINING industry possibly got more than it bargained for when it decided to hold its annual dinner in Christchurch’s Cardboard Cathedral this month – a climate change debate with the Anglican Church.
The Dean of the Christchurch Transitional Cathedral, the Very Reverend Lawrence Kimberley, says some members of his congregation were unhappy about allowing the miners to use the cathedral because of the association with climate change.
