Scientists warn of more-frequent coastal flooding

COASTAL floods will become much more common with even small rises in sea-levels, scientists say.
New research published in Scientific Reports says that most predictions to date have not taken into account the impact of waves, and warns that even a rise of 5cm to 10cm by 2050 would double the frequency of floods.
