Asian coal cuts will ease Trump rollbacks

SWEEPING climate policy rollbacks by US President Donald Trump will be outweighed by cuts to coal consumption in India and China, a new analysis shows.
Reports released yesterday by the Climate Action Tracker group at the climate talks in Bonn show that reducing coal use in China and India will cut global emissions by two billion to three billion tonnes by 2030, outweighing the 0.4 billion tonnes Trump’s policies are expected to add to global emissions over the same period.
