AUSTRALIA can meet its 2030 emissions target without an emissions intensity scheme, but it means deeper emissions cuts will be needed from industrial facilities, new research shows.
While the Government has ruled out an EIS, the on-going operation of the federal Renewable Energy Target and state renewable energy targets will drive decarbonisation of the power sector, analyst Reputex says in a new report.
