Australian firms accept role of carbon prices

Most major Australian companies are factoring carbon prices into their budgets, despite the fact the country no longer has a carbon tax or emissions trading scheme.
Carbon Market Institute Australia chief executive Peter Castellas told the Climate Change and Business Conference in Auckland yesterday that while his country’s carbon pricing mechanisms had been scrapped, many companies were still talking about carbon internally.
