Superannuation and other fund managers should be telling customers just how big a risk climate change is to their investments, says the government’s financial markets regulator.

Banks, investment funds and superannuation funds are coming under increasing pressure from the divestment movement to remove fossil-fuel investments from their portfolios, and Bank of England governor Mark Carney has repeatedly warned that stranded fossil-fuel assets could severely damage the global economy.
