Get reserve in place to protect taxpayers, says Simpson

The Government can and should pass legislation allowing it to set reserve prices when it auctions carbon credits, National says.

Otherwise, it is exposing taxpayers to the potential loss of millions of dollars if the units sell well below prevailing prices on the secondary market, climate spokesperson Scott Simpson told Carbon News this morning.
