Good job and well done, says ClimCom

THE GOVERNMENT'S determination to overhaul the Emissions Trading Scheme despite the covid-19 pandemic has won praise from the Climate Change Commission.

The Climate Change Response (Emissions Trading Reform) Act, introducing a cap on greenhouse gas emissions and bringing agricultural emissions into the scheme, was passed by Parliament last week.
