SHIPOWNERS want out of the Emissions Trading Scheme, saying it won’t be fair if they have to pay twice for their emissions.
The Government is considering whether to ratify Annex VI of the Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, known as the Marpol Convention, which will require ships to be run on low-sulphur fuels.
