ETS more workable than carbon tax, says Labour

Labour says that it will be easier to lift carbon prices under the Emissions Trading Scheme than under a carbon tax, as proposed by the Greens.

That’s because the ETS is already in place, while introducing a carbon tax would require getting new law through Parliament, says Labour Party finance spokesman David Parker.
