Wind energy pathway to jobs, says report

The wind energy industry will be creating jobs and revenue on a par with the oil and gas industry by 2030, a new report says.

Released in the same week as the Pure Advantage report on New Zealand’s lagging place in the green technology race, the Economic Benefits of Wind Farms in New Zealand report predicts that by 2030, 1500 people will be employed in the sector – mostly in rural areas.
