Australian firms strike first forest credits deal

AUSTRALIAN companies have struck the first long-term deal in that country to sell carbon credits generated from plantation forestry.

Tasmanian forestry company Forico and environmental services company CO2 Australia have signed a deal under the Australian Government’s $A2.55 billion Emissions Reduction Fund.
