Climate change momentum begins today with Marrakech

THE UNITED NATIONS Climate Change Conference in Marrakech has started -   just three days after the Paris Agreement entered into force.

Morocco’s Foreign Minister and newly-elected COP22 president Salaheddine Mezouar told the delegates at the opening ceremony that his country was hosting the conference to show Africa's commitment as a whole to contribute to global efforts to tackle climate change.
