Horizon Publishing: Who We Are

 

Horizon Publishing Limited was formed in December 2007 to bring you specialist intelligence on the new carbon markets. It publishes Carbon News via email and this website, www.carbonnews.co.nz.


Horizon Publishing Limited is owned by Graeme Colman, Iain Morrison, Guy Hallwright (all Directors) and Jo Jalfon. Adelia Hallett is Carbon News’ Editor, working from her Auckland base.

 

Graeme Colman has worked in media and communications since 1967.He has been an award winning journalist, top-rating radio talk back host, newspaper Editor and manager and in 1990 worked in the New Zealand Prime Minister's Office. He is a former Managing Editor of The National Business Review and also worked as Executive Assistant to former Minister of Foreign affairs and Trade and Prime Minister Mike Moore. As Group Business Development Manager for the Liberty Press Group he was involved in international award-winning media marketing projects and new business developments. Mr Colman introduced New Zealand’s first information-to-mobile phone service. He was a member of New Zealand's 1988 America's Cup Challenge team. He is Prinicpal of Horizon Research Limited, providing specialist market research to national and international companies, government agencies and community organisations.

 

Guy Hallwright is a highly-regarded financial markets analyst with a particular interest in carbon trading issues. Mr Hallwright has extensive research experience across a wide range of companies and industries in both New Zealand and Australia. Highlights during his eminent 17-year career include leading Credit Suisse First Boston’s team in Australia to a number one ranking in telecommunications research and heading research for First NZ Capital in New Zealand. Mr Hallwright has also been rated New Zealand’s best analyst by Asiamoney magazine. He holds an MBA Finance (with distinction) from City University Business School, London, and an MA (Hons) in Language and Literature from Victoria University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Finance Professionals, having been Chairman of the NZ Society of Investment Analysts in 1998-1999.

 

Iain Morrison is a former daily journalist, author and magazine editor. He presents the successful Wellington marketing and communications company Morrison McDougall. Mr Morrison is noted for conceiving and implementing major campaigns like the 10-year one which supported the successful development of Wellington’s Westpac Stadium from concept stage.

 

Adelia Hallett is Carbon News' Editor.
